Example of Cous Cous Kid's Work
This is one of his pieces. Like many other pieces he starts with a female model. The clothes that she is wearing matches the colour scheme of the abstract background. I really like this because he's merging the person with the art, or perhaps even simply making her the art.
Cous Cous Experiment
For an experiment I decided that I would make my own 'Cous Cous' styled image.
I started out by making my background.
I decided to use a black background as the base as its a very adaptable colour and also will let me make any bright colours used stand out.
I then started adding various abstract stylings to it.
Now that I had the abstract styled background, I decided to add some more basic shapes. CousCous did this rather well as he integrated basic objects into his abstracts designs. They all looked rather good so I decided to do the same. I started with a circle and started using various layer effects on it. I ended up using 'Stroke' and a gradient overlay. I then decided to start cloning the circle and make alterations to the sizes and layering. This was the end result.
The next thing I did was to take photos of my model to add to the image.
