I like how unique his work is and how it somewhat goes against the traditional forms of art, yet still manages to cause a big effect on the art communities


Experimental Piece

This is my experiment styled after Roy Lichtenstein.
I started with the base image of myself.

I then started playing with the levels and making the picture look nicer, as i didn't have a better camera at hand.

From here I needed to make it look more like Lichtensteins work, to do this I played with the filter options and found one called "Half-Tone" this was rather effective as it let me add dots to my face and make it look more along Lichtensteins style. This was the final result.

I find this piece to be rather interesting and I like how it turned out. Overall my impression of Roy Lichtenstein has been that his work really is interesting and unique. I love how it is quite simple, yet really effective.
